For more than thirty-five years, the Mike Tracy Jazz Ensemble has been actively involved in offering diverse musical experiences for students of all ages. While based in the Louisville, Kentucky area, the ensemble has presented demonstration concerts in Argentina, Australia, Belize, Brazil, China, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Poland, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, Singapore and Wales as well as throughout the United States, reaching thousands of students each year. JEN (Jazz Education Network) 2012 Conference
The annual JEN (Jazz Education Network) Conference is being help in Louisville January 4 – 7. My friend Renato Vasconcellos and I presented a clinic on Brazilian / American Styles and Approaches: A Comparison of Similarities and Differences. Our group The Tracy/Vasconcellos Brazilian Ensemble also performed at this conference.
